Access for All

Access for All is a student organization that focuses on disability awareness on campus and in the community. As a member of AFA you will gain leadership experience, activism skills, and a deeper understanding of disabilities. AFA is dedicated to raising awareness, stopping stigma, & creating a more inclusive campus environment for all. To learn more, please e-mail [email protected] 

Purpose:

  • To promote campus awareness of disabilities and work to stop the many stigmas associated with disabilities
  • To increase and support diversity at UMD
  • To create a strong social network for students
  • To create leadership opportunities for students

Active Minds

Active Minds is a non-profit organization that builds a campus community that cares about mental health and works toward positive change on our campus by promoting a healthy and positive dialogue among students, faculty, and staff. They host meetings and events to bring mental health awareness to the campus and community, and collaborate with other organizations and chapters to help reduce the stigma of mental illness and to promote good mental health.

YOUmatter

A student organization that focuses on mental health awareness and suicide prevention at the University of Minnesota Duluth. Their goal is to raise awareness, promote prevention, and to stop the stigma around mental health conditions. They are here to support anybody who is affected by mental health conditions and suicide. They can provide support and resources to anyone interested.

American Sign Language (ASL) Club

American Sign Language Club is a student organization that promotes awareness, understanding, and engagement of the Deaf culture and the Deaf community. Whether you are in ASL classes or would like to begin learning about Deaf culture and American Sign Language, anyone is welcome to join.
